Ethiopia: Photographs
Available Early 2020
In Ethiopia, Silvano Ruffini takes us on an emotional and physical journey through the rugged, landlocked country’s Omo Valley, one of the most diverse tribal areas in Africa. Home to unique wildlife, stunning landscapes, and an incredibly beautiful population, Ethiopia’s Omo River is the largest outside the Nile Basin.
Having developed his distinctive technique of recording elegant black and white photographs that capture the essence of people and their environments, in this first of his collections in book form, the artist features 100 images of his journey documenting the dignity and profound beauty of a region and its inhabitants under the threat of a rapidly changing world. Ethiopia attests to the photographer’s belief in the power of storytelling and the masterful way he translates what the heart perceives through stunning visual imagery.
